ACTOR. NARRATOR. COLLABORATOR.
Born in the suburbs of Chicago, IL, and raised in the blues capital of Memphis, TN, AhDream Smith is a New York-based actor, narrator, director, and performance artist who is always exploring new ways and mediums to express herself. She is a former resident actor of the PlayMakers Repertory Company and earned an MFA in Acting from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
During her tenure there she was the recipient of the Arts Everywhere Student Innovation Grant for her COVID-19 multi-sensory art exhibition, “Make It Make Sense,” she was a member of the Frank Porter Graham Graduate and Professional Student Honor Society, and was inducted into UNC’s oldest and highest honorary society, Order of the Golden Fleece.
She obtained her Bachelor of Arts from Wesleyan University majoring in American Studies, concentrating in Race and Ethnic Studies.
When she’s not in someone's rehearsal or recording studio, you can find her creating and producing her own work, capturing moments with her camera, or Facetiming with her toddler nephews and chatting about their lives : )
